The company was founded in 2017 after the Egyptian revolution as an online bakery delivery service.
Today, Breadfast is known for their high quality produce, dependability, and empathy-centered customer experience.
I joined the Breadfast in 2020 as a Content Strategist while pursuing my MBA at the American University in Cairo. Although Breadfast had just graduated from the Y-Combinator accelerator, it was still a young start up and many things had to be built from scratch. During my time with the company, I dove headfirst into a world of marketing & operations, content strategy, and worked with some of Cairo’s most inspirational startup leaders such as Muhammed Habib and Mostafa Amin.
While working there, I had the privilege of taking part in the company's unique transition from a startup to the beginnings of a corporate giant - and to assist in leading the restructuring of marketing operations and content strategy.
Breadfast is incredibly special to me because I learned what it looks like to lead teams with empathy, kindness, and still demand quality and high performance. I had the amazing opportunity of working under incredible supervisors who supported my own personal, professional, and academic dreams - and was also consistently supported by a marketing team who cared for each other as well as the customers we serve.
